Welcome to Chef in the House. By using our website or booking our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully:
1. About Us
Chef in the House is a Toronto-based hospitality company offering curated private dining experiences, culinary activations, and event services. These Terms apply to all clients, guests, and users of our services or website.
2. Services Offered
We provide custom chef-led culinary experiences, event staffing, menu design, beverage services, hospitality consulting, and event planning. Each experience is tailored and may vary depending on your needs.
3. Booking & Payment Terms
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
The remaining balance is due no later than five (5) business days before the event.
Any additional post-event charges (e.g., added guests, rentals, overages) will be invoiced following the event and are due upon receipt.
Credit card payments are subject to a 3% processing fee, which will be invoiced separately after the event.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling
You may cancel your booking up to five (5) business days prior to the event.
If you are unable to rebook, the deposit is non-refundable.
If you intend to rebook, your deposit can be transferred to a future date, subject to availability.
All cancellations or changes must be made in writing (email accepted).
5. Delays & Notifications
If either party becomes aware of a delay or issue affecting the event, they must provide written notice with all relevant information within five (5) business days of becoming aware.
6. Client Responsibilities
Ensure safe and functional access to your venue, including kitchen facilities if required.
Inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions at least five (5) business days in advance.
You may use your own dishware and rentals or ask us to coordinate rentals on your behalf.
7. Our Commitments
We will deliver the agreed-upon services professionally and punctually.
We will ensure your kitchen or event area is left clean.
We will accommodate dietary restrictions to the best of our ability, if informed in advance.
8. Liability
Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chef in the House and its representatives from any loss, damage, or claims arising during the event.
Chef in the House agrees to hold clients harmless from any loss or damage except in cases of gross misconduct or negligence by our team.
9. Website Use
All content on this website (text, images, branding) belongs to Chef in the House and may not be copied or reproduced without written permission.
10. Privacy
We do not collect or retain unnecessary personal information, nor do we share your data. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details.
11. Marketing Materials
We may request to use event photos or testimonials for marketing. We will only do so with your explicit consent.
12. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or cancellations due to events beyond our control, such as severe weather, illness, or government restrictions.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
